How are your sewing patterns sized?
We size all of our patterns to correspond with the size you’d typically wear when purchasing clothing from a nice department store. So if you’d normally wear a size 10, we would suggest making a size 10 in our sewing patterns. However, since every style differs slightly in fit, we would also encourage you to check the finished measurements (located on the back cover of each pattern), to ensure that your finished garment fits correctly.
May I use your sewing patterns to make garments, aprons, or accessories to sell?
We’re so sorry, but at this time we do not allow anyone to use our patterns in order to make items to sell for profit. If you would like to give items you’ve sewn from our patterns as gifts in small quantities, we welcome you to do so! We also offer a selection of fun, free tutorials on our blog – and we are happy for you to sew for profit while using them. Please just mention that you found the pattern on our blog, www.mariemadelinestudio.typepad.com. Thank you!
Do you sell your sewing patterns wholesale?
Yes! Please contact us for wholesale information, or visit our wholesale page for a list of our distributing companies. And be sure to sign up for our newsletter to be updated on fresh designs and special sales.
Are your sewing patterns good for beginners?
Definitely! Our patterns are great for beginners. If you’ve never sewn a stitch before and are looking for something easy to sew, we’d suggest starting out with emerson, tessa, or the chic sisters apron.
What material are your pattern pieces printed on? Will I be able to re-use my pattern?
Each of our sewing patterns are printed on a sturdy white paper. We suggest using a material such as red dot tracer or non-woven, non-fusible interfacing to trace off your desired size… this will make your patterns last forever.
I’ve lost my pattern instructions. Will you help me?
Of course! (We know how that feels.) If you have purchased one of our sewing patterns in the past and have lost your set of instructions, we will happily send them to you again via email.
