It was bound to happen

My love for vintage was going to come out again.  And, thanks to my best friend, Ashley, it got to come out sooner rather than later!  You see, through Ash I found this great site that specializes in vintage clothes!!  So, I promptly used some of my spending money to buy this great (real) Jessica McClintock's Gunne Sax skirt from the 70s and this adorable 50s cashmere sweater (I love it too!!).  They came in the mail about 1 1/2 days before we were leaving for Houston and I chose to wear this skirt one day at Market.

What I thought was so great was that several ladies came up to me when I was there, saying something like, "I had a skirt just like that in 1973!", or "That's a gunne sax skirt, isn't it??".  Too great!  Even though I can't exactly pinpoint my favorite era for vintage clothes, the 1970s definitely holds some of my affections because it reminds me of my Mom growing up (she would have completely worn this skirt!), and all the cute outfits she tells us about that she wore.

So, yes, I am very happy!  In fact, I was dancing around out there.  Which isn't very surprising, since I dance whenever possible.

Hope you all have a happy Thanksgiving counting your blessings (that's what I'll be doing too)!!

Mr. Kitty

Kitty

Hasn't he gotten big?? (The last time you saw him was right here.)  Of course, we thought he was a her at first.  But, anyway you cut it he's just too cute.  It seems to me that Mr. Kitty thinks he's a dog, and belongs up at the house with Bo and Blayde, because he hardly ever leaves.  He'll sit right in front of a door and purr for food, and he'll sit on the window ledge and watch movies with us.  Too Adorable, right?  Oh, and he'll sleep right beside the dogs, and lay in the exact same position as them.  Cute, cute, cute!

We hope your Friday's this cute….

Hugs~ us

Do you know how nice it is to go around every single day and admire your sister/daughter's beautiful red hair??  Abiah tried out some interesting self protraits today and this one turned out so pretty (that wasn't too hard).  We love the way the light streams in, framing her hair in just enough shadows to make it interesting.

Back again soon!

We couldn't be more grateful for such a wonderful market trip!  The Lord continues to bless our little company beyond what we ever dreamed.  We're so thankful for all of the talented and generous people He has placed in our lives!  They have blessed us, encouraged us, laughed with us… and we're grateful for each and every one.

P.S. But we missed Mom and Abiah like crazy.  It just doesn't do to leave part of us at home, you know?
