Special thanks to our sweet model, Eleanor (we love you, Ellie!), and our photographer Clayton Pearlstein. Visit the Pearlsteins at www.pearlsteinphoto.blogspot.com and www.ofpigtailsanddinosaurs.blogspot.com
In her beautiful new route 66 skirt! Isn't Meredith adorable?! What a great picture-taking place.
And we're excited about the surprise too. You moms will especially like this one. Lord willing, we'll tell you all about it tomorrow! (Because we don't think we can keep it a secret much longer. It's just too much fun!)
Have a lovely night~

Our friend Traci is giving away a $35 gift certificate to marie-madeline studio over at Ordinary Inspirations! So stop by, sign up, and read her fun blog…
Have a happy night! It's cheeseburgers and fries for supper over here. With soda pop, of course. And probably an old movie for dessert. (Because we did do a lot of sewing today.)

Let's just say these small-town-country girls could've done without riding the city bus back and forth from the hotel to the (huge) convention center. But it was well worth it!
Dream On by Urban Chicks for Moda… coming this fall to marie-madeline studio! As soon as we spotted this quilt, we knew we just had to have it. Wait till you see all of the pieces up close. (All 40 of them!)
Part of the Moda spread…
And the new Anthology fabric company. Talk about cute stuff. We can't wait to show off their new Sweet Tooth fabrics.
With Anna Maria Horner and Amy Butler!!
Our first-ever Market presence… the Pattern Peddlers booth display.
(We're sorry for the less-than-amazing pictures. You know we went without our official photographer!)
Pillow & Maxfield's booth… we loved it! So bright and cheery. Of course we wanted some of their new line, Pretty Bird. Valerie and Anne (the designers) are just as sweet and pretty as their fabric!
Val and Anne painted these birdhouses white, then decoupaged them in Pretty Bird. How cute is that?
On the bus, heading back to the hotel for pizza…
Extra-special thanks to our dear friends at Bittersweet Quilts (hi Robbi, Donna, and Raymond!) for planning the whole trip, inviting us to tag along, and showing us the ropes! We had a wonderful time — and we're already looking forward to the next Quilt Market.
But we sure did miss the rest of us. There really is no place like home!
love & hugs, the Long ladies
We love strawberries… who doesn't? Besides. who can resists a nice, juicy strawberry? That's what we said when Abiah chose them for her birthday breakfast, (with shortcake, of course!) mmmm. Don't you just think of Summer when someone says strawberries?
We're really missing the rest of us! Oh! aren't those shoes cute? Too bad we don't know were they got them, or we would let you all in on the secret! (Maybe Zappos or Ebay?)
love, the Long ladies
P.S. Abiah wants to say "thank-you" for all the sweet comments on her birthday post! It was a fabulous day!
Today, our baby sister is sweet 16. We just can't believe it! We really think 16 is sweet when it's on Abiah!
Abiah, we are just amazed at what a wonderful young lady you've become. You are such a great big sister to your little siblings, and a beautiful encouragement to your older ones. The Lord truly blessed us when He gave us you!
You are so petite, sweet, lady-like, a helper, a lover of beautiful things, and most importantly a lover of our Saviour. Happy 16th Birthday to a wonderful girl!
We love you, Bug!
Endless x's and o's~ Mom, Apphia, Achaia, & Abigail
Please wish our Bug a happy birthday!
Our Abiah is extra special in that she was born on our Nanny's birthday! Many happy, happy birthdays to you, Nanny Dearest! We miss you loads, and love you tons! Thanks so much for passing on your love of all things crafty— we love you for it!
PS~ Anytime we sit down to write these birthday posts, we usually start to blubber. Thanks for letting us say so.
Guess what two very dear sisters, Abigail and Abiah, did? They decided to make themselves new street fair skirts! This time though they went all out. That's right…. every single option on our pattern was used for these fantastic skirts. Pockets. Trim. Band. A different piece of fabric for every thing. We think it was a picture-perfect mix!
